Our History

Tri-State Industrial Services, Inc. is a full service refractory construction and material distributor based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The company was established in 1986 primarily targeting the heavy industrial base located in Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and West Virginia. The company was founded with the ideal of combining sound refractory construction services coupled with strong material application engineering in order to offer our customers a single source solution for any their refractory requirements.

Today, as we achieved our 30th anniversary, we have developed into a recognized regional refractory services provider having worked in over 20 states in the eastern and central United States with some limited National and International experience. We are proud of our proven experience as solutions provider to the Steel, Aluminum, Power Generation, Chemical, Glass and Ceramics Industries. We can attribute much of our growth to keeping on the leading edge of refractory material technology developments as well as investing in state of the art installation equipment such as shortcrete and pumping equipment.
